As promissed, a video. An Irish reel called the Silver spear. After 18 or 20 years without playing the violin, here we go. I´ve played 7 days now and I´m happy. There´s a long way to go, but thats just great.
Thanks both of you. The strings are Daddario Helicore. As a woodworker, I hated the kit, but as a musician, I´m happy with being back on a bowed instrument. Starting on the violin was a big surprise. And ist amazing how much capacity the body has. It remembers everything that it has been taught well. On day 1, i could actually play almost in tune. The brain doesnt have that capacity. I cant remember what I used to play. So its divided into not remembering what to play (brain) and remembering how to play it (body)
Lovely playing, what make of strings did you fit on your fiddle?
